When your pet shows signs of pain, sudden illness, or an injury that can’t wait, getting them seen quickly makes all the difference. Stonebridge Veterinary Wellness provides same-day urgent veterinary care in Roseville for pets who need attention now, without the cost and wait times of a 24-hour emergency clinic.

When your pet needs urgent care, the veterinary team at Stonebridge Veterinary Wellness is here to help. With state-of-the-art diagnostics, an experienced veterinary team, premium patient care, and a calm, welcoming environment, we will devote our full attention to your pet’s urgent care needs.
In addition to our on-site team and board-certified surgeon, we consult with a wide range of other veterinary specialists to provide your pet with the best veterinary care when it’s needed most, including time-sensitive orthopedic cases such as broken leg and hip surgery.
Urgent care visits at Stonebridge Veterinary Wellness are significantly more cost-effective than a 24-hour ER clinic. If your pet is already an existing patient, we know their history and can get started right away. We are open on Saturdays when most practices are closed, and we are here when it matters most.

When your pet has an urgent care need, contact us first during our office hours. If a condition requires care beyond what we can provide, we will stabilize your pet and recommend transfer to a 24-hour emergency facility.
Urgent care and emergency care are not the same thing, and choosing the right level of care for your pet matters for both their outcome and your wallet. Urgent care handles conditions that require same-day veterinary attention but are not immediately life-threatening. Emergency care is for situations where your pet's life is at immediate risk and they cannot wait.
Stonebridge Veterinary Wellness provides urgent care during regular office hours and accepts walk-ins. If your pet arrives with a condition beyond what we can safely manage, we will stabilize them and arrange transfer to a 24-hour emergency facility. You will never be turned away without a plan.
24-hour emergency hospitals carry significant overhead: round-the-clock staffing, specialists on call, and ICU-level facilities. That cost appears in every bill. Urgent care at a full-service clinic like Stonebridge provides the same in-house diagnostics, the same experienced veterinary team, and the same ability to start treatment immediately, at a fraction of the cost of an ER visit for non-life-threatening conditions.
For existing Stonebridge patients, the advantage goes further. We already have your pet's medical history, medication list, vaccination records, and baseline bloodwork on file. That means we can skip the intake process, move directly to assessment, and make faster, more accurate diagnostic decisions. Pets who are known to our team are also less stressed during the visit, which matters for both safety and recovery.
Walk-ins are always welcome. That said, calling ahead before you arrive gives our team time to prepare for your pet's specific situation, have the right supplies and diagnostic tools ready, and significantly reduce your wait time. If you're unsure whether your pet needs urgent care or a 24-hour emergency hospital, call us and describe the symptoms. Our team will help you make the right call at no charge.
We are open on Saturdays when most veterinary practices in Roseville are closed. For pets who develop conditions over the weekend, Stonebridge is often the difference between a same-day visit and waiting until Monday while a condition progresses.
Urgent care is appropriate for conditions like wounds, vomiting, diarrhea, allergic reactions, difficulty urinating, seizures, painful conditions, or mild breathing difficulties that are not immediately life-threatening but require veterinary attention right away. At Stonebridge Veterinary Wellness, we will provide urgent care for your pet, and can also help stabilize your pet’s condition if you are closer to us and your pet’s condition can’t tolerate a longer drive to an ER. In that case, we would work to stabilize your pet such that they can then be safely transferred to an ER hospital. Call our team at Stonebridge Veterinary Wellness so we can best assist you.
If your pet has severe trauma, difficulty breathing, long-lasting or very frequent seizures, or uncontrolled bleeding, seek emergency care. For less critical but still concerning issues, urgent care is appropriate. Not sure whether to seek urgent care with Stonebridge Veterinary Wellness or emergency care? Call us and our team can help guide you.
For urgent care visits, Stonebridge Veterinary Wellness accepts walk-ins as well as appointments or same- day drop- off appointments, but calling ahead can help reduce wait times and help us to prepare for your pet’s arrival.
Bring your pet’s medical history, current medications, vaccination records, and any notes about recent symptoms. If your pet has medical records at another clinic, contact that clinic and have your pet’s records emailed to us immediately, at info@stonebridgevetwellness.com. Once your pet arrives, our team at Stonebridge Veterinary Wellness will triage your pet to determine the urgency of your pet’s need so we can get started with their care.
Costs vary based on the severity of the condition but are generally lower than emergency care. At Stonebridge Veterinary Wellness, our team will do our best to give you estimates as we assess your pet’s condition, and give recommendations for diagnostics and treatment. Many times, we need to do further diagnostics after an exam to diagnose your pet’s condition, so we won’t know the overall cost until we gather more diagnostic information. However, we will keep you informed every step of the way so you are aware of the diagnostic and treatment plans, and associated costs.
At Stonebridge Veterinary Wellness, our team will provide instructions for follow-up care and may recommend a recheck appointment. If your pet came to us with an urgent condition that we were able to stabilize in the short-term, but your pet requires further urgent or emergency care, we will recommend transfer to an emergency or 24-hour veterinary care facility.
