Dr. Sara Harrison is a regular relief veterinarian for Stonebridge Veterinary Wellness. She grew up in San Diego before attending UC Davis where she received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science. She continued her education at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and received both a veterinary degree (DVM) as well as a Master’s degree in Preventative Veterinary Medicine (MPVM). Upon graduation she entered clinical practice and has been working in the Sacramento area for over a decade. Dr. Harrison loves all aspects of veterinary medicine but is especially fond of helping older patients live their best lives. Since receiving her Master’s in Veterinary Forensics she splits her time between private practice and working with municipal agencies investigating animal cruelty. This keeps her quite busy but she is still able to enjoy time with her four dogs: Dudley, Mandy, Maggie and Niro. She enjoys all things Tolkein and is often building Middle Earth out of Legos. When not working as a veterinarian she works for Burning Man, travels whenever possible, and her favorite thing is to find new plant-based recipes to try.
